​Instructor Training

Gradings are a way for students to have their years of training recognised and a great way to challenge your training.  There is nothing like having a test date to get you practicing.  

For anyone that has been studying Chen Style Tai Chi for a number of years and is interested in teaching other we also have a Instructor training programme available.

Below is the syllabus and grading criteria

8th Dan Ryukyu Kempo
8th Dan Kyusho Jitsu
 (Dim Mak)
Level 8 Instructor & Examiner, Chen Style Tai Chi
6th Dan Shotokan Karate
5th Dan Kickboxing
1st Dan Katana

> Self Defence Instructor - certified by Geoff Thompson and the BCA.
> BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Self Defence Instruction 
> BTEC Level 3 Advanced Restraint & Breakaway Instructor
> BTEC Level 3 Physical Intervention Trainer for the Security Industry
> BTEC Level 3 Conflict Management Trainer
> BTEC Level 3 Handcuff Trainer 
> Senior KEWAP Instructor - certified by Steven Timperley
> Reality-Based Personal Protection Instructor - certified by Jim Wagner.  
> Certified in the use of firearms by the American Small Arms Academy
> MAIUK Course Trainer 
- certified by the Cobra Martial Arts Association
> Self Defence Instructor - certified by the Cobra Martial Arts Association

> Qigong Level 5 Instructor - certified by Tai Chi Centre UK

What to wear:  Just wear some loose comfortable clothes to exercise in,  and wear some layers so if you are feeling warm you can take a layer off and if you are cold you can put one back on.   
The class is done on a mated floor so no heeled shoes on the mats.  Thank you!
