​Chen Dedan Tai Chi Academy

The Chen DeDan Tai Chi Academy is part of the UCAA Martial Arts Centre.  The Chief instructor and Founder is Master Damian Kierans.  The name Chen DeDan was given to Master Kierans when he became a 12th generation indoor disciple of Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei.  The name is given in a traditional Chinese ceremony were Master Kierans became part of the Chen family and a direct descendent of Chen Style Tai Chi.   It is a massive honour to be accepted as a disciple/indoor student.
​Master Kierans offers classes in his purpose built Tai Chi Centre in Monaghan town as well as online classes in his professionally equipped streaming studio.  

Not only is Master Kierans a level 8 Chen Style Tai Chi instructor and examiner (the highest level in Ireland) with the Chen Zhenglei Taijiquan Federation, he is also a highly qualified Martial Arts instructor holding the rank of 9th Dan in Ryukyu Kempo and Kyusho-Jitsu (Dim Mak).  You can find full details on the Instructor page.
